Syzygium luehmannii “Lulu” PBR 4BC Plant of the week 2/6/13
By BGN Editor In Hedging and Screening, Hot News, Products On May 30, 2013
Syzygium “Lulu” is a useful and colourful native, excellent for screening. A compact selection of Syzygium luehmannii, “Lulu” grows to 4M high and 1.5M wide. “Lulu” displays colourful flushes of growth throughout the year , and has beautiful soft weeping foliage. This lillypilly responds well to pruning so don’t be afraid to give it a haircut.
For a “Lulu” screen in your garden, space plants approximately 75cm apart for a quick result. However, plants can be spaced up to 1.5M apart if time is not an issue. Water well until established. For best results add a little fertiliser for stronger flushes of colour.
